USA Hockey Formalizes the 20U RMJHL

Tier-3 Junior-A Hockey Officially Sanctioned for AJH

After adding the Breckenridge Bucks as the sixth team of the Rocky Mountain Junior Hockey League (RMJHL), this past week the USA Hockey Junior Council formally granted the league and members Tier-3 Junior A status. The original six 20U teams are: the Aspen Leafs, Breckenridge Bucks, Colorado Rampage, Colorado Thunderbirds, Grand Junction Coyotes, and the Pikes Peak Miners. The playoff winner receives an automatic berth to the USA Hockey National Championships. The Aspen Leafs will play 20 home games on selected Friday and Saturday nights during the 2015-16 campaign at the Aspen Ice Garden, and 20 road games. AJH Director Shaun Hathaway was voted by league members as the inaugural RMJHL Board President.
