Goalie Coordinator Jennifer Neary a Huge Addition to AJH

In hockey, arguably the most important and technically difficult position is goaltending. This season Aspen Junior Hockey raised the player development bar for goalies with the addition of University of Wisconsin alum Jennifer Neary as the AJH Goaltending Coordinator. In 1999-2000 Coach Neary was selected as an Academic all-Big Ten, and shared in the first shutout in Badger Women's hockey history. In her senior season at Wisconsin she finished with a solid 1.34 goals against average and 90.5 save percentage.  Prior to joining Wisconsin, Neary played for powerhouse prep school Phillips Exeter Academy. Her senior season at Exeter, she was selected as MVP, leading her team to a 20-4-2 mark and posting an impressive 1.22 goals against average with eight shutouts.

Now a real estate agent with Sotheby's International Real Estate- Aspen Snowmass, Coach Neary volunteers much of her time with Aspen Junior Hockey. Each week, she rotates through AJH team practices to provide goalies individual instruction, leads a goalie specific clinic on Fridays, and attends various home games on the weekends to monitor progress. Her expertise and ability to connect with players has resulted in noticeable improvement at all levels.  AJH is extremely fortunate and grateful for her time and leadership.
