The Roaring Fork Valley Fall Midget Program is a joint effort between Aspen Junior Hockey and Glenwood Springs Youth Hockey.  Our goal is to provide Midget age players a supplemental competitive fall hockey option, and is available to AJH and GSYHA 18U/16U members.  The goal of the program is to provide advanced age-appropriate skills development and conceptual awareness training run by a staff of extremely qualified coaches that includes: Shaun Hathaway (16U Head Coach), Dru Lucchesi (18U Head Coach), TK Kwiatkowski, Tim Cota, Bryan Gonzales, Blake Hull, & Kalle Valiaho.

The program includes:

• 20 hours of on-ice advanced skills development and training to improve conceptual awareness Tuesdays and Thursdays Aug 30 thru Nov 3 (all practices are after 7pm)

• 3-4 tournaments provided in September, October, November plus several friendly games

• Two full-roster teams for 2001-1998 birth-years (18U A, 16U AA)

• Full Use of AJH Shooting Room, off-ice training to improve athleticism, and classroom sessions are offered throughout the season

• $850 for the full season (includes all tournament fees + tournament coaches expenses, ice fees, and jerseys/socks)

All Practices and games are structured to accommodate multi sport athletes playing fall sports.

On August 30, the staff will begin by evaluating participants on the ice, and placing them on the appropriate team.  Games will be played against opponents of equal ability and talent.  The extra fall ice will help players better prepare for the upcoming high school and midget hockey seasons in Aspen and Glenwood Springs.
