The 2018 World Junior Championships, featuring the top 18-20 year old players in the world, begin December 26 and run through January 5. Team USA enters the the tournament as the defending champions, defeating Team Canada 5-4 in 2017. They will be looking to repeat as champions on home ice in Buffalo, NY.
After a disappointing tournament last season in Canada, Finland travels back to North America to regain bragging rights as the top team in the world. In 2016 they claimed the title on home ice in Finland, defeating Russia 4-3.
