The Longtime AJH Standout Signs Contract with the Missoula Bruins of the NA3HL

Henry Morrison, who is scheduled to graduate from Aspen High School this June, has signed a contract to play Junior Hockey next season for the Missoula Bruins in Montana.  His plans are to take a gap year before enrolling full time in college in the fall of  2020.  Morrison has been a standout player throughout his career with Aspen Junior Hockey and Aspen High School.  When asked about his decision to continue playing, he flashed a big grin and expressed his excitement.  “It’s a dream to play another year, especially when the focus will be solely on hockey.   Missoula is a great town, and it’s a great league to be playing in.  I’m excited about the opportunity.’

The Missoula Bruins are a member of the NA3HL, the most recognized Tier-3 Junior League in the country.  Last season the Bruins finished fourth in the Frontier Division with a 27-19-1 record.   Led by Head Coach and General Manager Cliff Cook, the Bruins are working hard to build a roster this offseason to make a serious run at the prestigious Fraser Cup championship.  Morrison’s grit,  work ethic and skill will be a welcome addition to their organization.  “The style that Coach Cook implements fits with the way I play the game.  I’m hopeful to have a strong impact on the team.”

Morrison will report to Missoula in late August.  He will live with a host billet family for the season, and will be required to participate in numerous community service activities including helping coach youth players.  AJH Executive Director Shaun Hathaway was thrilled when he learned about the news.  “I’m very excited for Henry and the amazing opportunity that he’s earned.  I have no doubt that he’ll make an instant impact on the Missoula organization, and I look forward to making a trip north to watch him play next season.”
