The Aspen 19U “A” team has not lost a game since the 2017-18 campaign.  The two time back-to-back state champions improved their overall 2019-20 season record to 8-0.  This past weekend the team won four games, claiming the Steamboat Adele Dombrowski tournament with a 3-1 win over the Summit Lightning.  On the weekend, Aspen outscored its opponents 17-1.  In pool play they defeated the Rushmore Thunder 7-0, Utah Lady Grizzlies 1-0, and Vernal 6-0. Hayley Heinenken led the team in scoring with 9 points (4 goals, 5 assists).  In the championship game, Aspen outshot Summit by a lopsided 32-4 margin.  Laney Martens scored the game winner in the second period.  The team returns to league play December 14 and 15 for a four-game home series against Summit.
