The Colorado Amateur Hockey Association recently approved Aspen Junior Hockey's request to field a 14U-AA (Tier-2) team for the 2014-15 season. This addition reflects the second season that AJH has expanded its girls programming (an 8U team was added in 2013-14). With the addition of 14U-AA hockey, AJH strengthens its ability to maximize player development by providing a more challenging competitive option for its players. The Aspen Leafs 14U-AA team will compete against the only other 14U-AA team in the state (Lady Roughriders) for a chance to represent Colorado and the Rocky Mountain District at the USA Hockey National Championships.

The team will be selected by utilizing a highly structured tryout process conducted by independent and professional evaluators.
