Gage Anderson & Lulu Freitas Win Prize for NHL Alumni Game Ticket Sales Contest

In an effort to directly  involve players with the Stirling Cup All-Star weekend, Aspen Junior Hockey organized an Alumni Game ticket sales contest.  The top two sellers were promised a signed jersey from NHL Alumni players.  Gage Anderson (a first year Peewee) and Lulu Freitas (a first year Mite) rose to the occasion, and were rewarded for their efforts.  Both received signed jerseys from the Dallas Stars Alumni Association, which included an autograph from Hall of Fame goaltender and Stanley Cup champion Ed Belfour.

Both Anderson and Freitas worked hard to to support the Stirling Cup.  Anderson went to "every place" in his neighborhood, and noted that "some did not want to attend to game, they just wanted to support Aspen Junior Hockey."  Freitas used a structured approach to her sales, providing potential buyers a detailed  explanation about benefits that the Stirling Cup provides Aspen Junior Hockey.

The efforts of Anderson and Freitas directly contributed the tremendous success of the NHL Alumni game, which featured the Chicago Blackhawks vs. the Dallas Stars.  The contest on September 23 witnessed a packed house at Lewis Arena, and was considered by many to be the most successful Striling Cup NHL Alumni event since its inception.   The Stars defeated the Blackhawks 7-6 in a thrilling action packed game.
