Academic success is the cornerstone and priority for all hockey players. While Aspen Junior Hockey provides character development coupled with advanced on and off ice training, in 2018 we are expanding to help our athletes achieve success in the classroom.
Starting Wednesday, January 3 AJH is unveiling an academic study room located in the former 20U locker room at Lewis Arena, providing ALL players a quiet classroom to complete school assignments and homework. Without providing full time supervision, the new AJH classroom will be open and available for Leafs players from 3:00-6:00 Monday through Thursday.
Academic Mentoring: In an effort to support our players' academic success, every Wednesday throughout the month of January from 3:00-4:00, licensed classroom teacher Georgina Levey plans to volunteer her time to offer free academic mentoring services. After January we will evaluate the success of this new Wednesday mentoring program. For more information, please contact AJH Executive Director Shaun Hathaway (firstname.lastname@example.org).
