After a successful MSGHL State Playoff last weekend, eight more Aspen Leafs teams are ready to begin their playoff run.

Five Leafs teams begin competing for the inaugural Western Colorado Hockey League (WCHL) playoffs on Friday (March 1-3).  The 10U Squirt A team (#3 seed) and Squirt B team (#5 seed) travel to Breckenridge for the three-day event.  The 12U Peewee A team plays their round robin tournament in Eagle, entering as the #2 seed.  The Peewee B team is also in Eagle as the #4 seed.  The 14U Bantam Leafs are hosting the WCHL playoffs in Aspen as the #4 seed.  For live scoring and stats, visit: https://www.co.hockey/page/show/4810038-wchl?subseason=590689

In Littleton, the CAHA Tier-2 (AA) Girls State championship tournament features three Aspen teams: 14U, 16U and 19U.  The 19U team faces a best of three series against the Littleton Hawks to determine a state champion; both teams will automatically advance to the Rocky Mountain District Championship tournament March 15-17.  The 16U team will play a three-team double elimination playoff format as the #2 seed.  The Leafs begin competition against the Colorado Select Friday night, with the top two teams advancing to the Rocky Mountain District Championship tournament.  The 14U team is participating in a four-team double elimination tournament, with the winner getting a direct berth to the USA Hockey National Championships in April.  For live scores and stats, visit: https://www.co.hockey/schedule/day/league_instance/76522?subseason=592015
