It's September, Aspen Junior Hockey Families and Community,
As the crisp air returns to the valley and we officially flip the calendar to September, the excitement for the upcoming hockey season is knocking on the door. But before we fully shift our focus to the ice, I want to take a moment to reflect on what was an unforgettable weekend for our community.
🏆 Celebrating the 25th Annual Stirling Cup
This past weekend, we celebrated the 25th Annual Stirling Cup, and it was a phenomenal success. From the kickoff dinner to the incredible energy at the pickleball tournament and the golf event, the spirit of Aspen Junior Hockey was on full display.
This milestone event wouldn't have been possible without the extraordinary generosity and dedication of our community.

- To Our Volunteers: Whether you were checking people in, setting up venues, or coordinating logistics behind the scenes, you are the engine that makes this organization run. Thank you for giving your time and energy so selflessly.
- To Our Participants: Thank you for showing up, competing hard, and bringing so much fun and joy to the weekend.
The funds raised during the Stirling Cup are vital to our operations, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who played a role in making our 25th anniversary such a historic success.
🏒 Gearing Up for the Season!
With the Stirling Cup behind us, we are officially in hockey mode. Over the next few weeks, we'll focus on getting the athletes back on the ice and prepared for the grind of the 26-27 season.
A few quick reminders as we head into September:
- Parent meetings coming soon!
- Please take a moment this week to check your player's equipment. Make sure skates still fit, helmets aren't expired, and sticks are the correct length.
- Watch the team page for finalized fall ice schedules and upcoming evaluation dates.
- 15U Girls (some of our 2011/12 players will potentially play 19U girls, so make sure you are at as many practices as you can)
- Final roster spots will be evaluated and shared by your head coach
Thank you all for your continued dedication to Aspen Junior Hockey. We couldn't be more excited about the season ahead, our athletes' growth, and the strength of this community.
